Returning to the ship

The Port of Ibiza is a premier destination in the western Mediterranean and is easy to reach thanks to short distances on the island and excellent flight connections. Large cruise ships primarily dock at the Es Botafoc terminal, which is located on the northeastern side of the harbor bay with a view of the historic old town.

Airplane

Ibiza Airport (IBZ) is located only about ten kilometers southwest of the port and is served by direct flights from numerous cities in the DACH region during the cruise season. The travel time to the terminal via the EI-20 expressway is usually only about 15 to 20 minutes, allowing for a very time-saving and comfortable journey from the airport to the ship.

Transfer & Taxi

From the airport, you can easily reach the Es Botafoc cruise terminal or the central Estación Marítima directly by taxi. Alternatively, bus line L10 offers a regular connection from the airport to the city, and small harbor ferries also operate between the old town and the cruise ship berths, providing your first maritime impressions upon arrival.

Pre-Cruise Hotel

Due to attractive flight times and the remarkable UNESCO old town, we recommend arriving a day before embarkation and staying overnight in Ibiza Town or at Talamanca Bay. This guarantees a relaxed start to your vacation and provides the opportunity to explore the historic Dalt Vila fortress and the exclusive marinas in the immediate vicinity of the ship at your leisure.

The historic old town of Dalt Vila is easily accessible from the Marina Botafoch cruise terminal by the "Barca de Ibiza" water taxi and offers a fascinating journey into the island's 2,500-year history. This UNESCO World Heritage site impresses with its winding, whitewashed alleys and massive Renaissance city walls, which offer breathtaking panoramic views of the harbor and the Mediterranean Sea. It is best to start your excursion in the morning to experience the pleasant tranquility of the upper town before the midday heat, and plan your return journey by boat or taxi at least ninety minutes before departure.

Returning to the ship

The journey back from the picturesque old town of Dalt Vila or the surrounding neighborhoods to the cruise terminal in Botafoc is straightforward and can be planned promptly thanks to various options. The routes are well-developed and offer you a relaxed return to the ship before departure.

Water Taxi (Aquabus)

The traditional water taxis of the Barca de Talamanca operate regularly between the city center at Avinguda de Santa Eulària and the Botafoc terminal. This ride is a particularly pleasant option, as it allows for a direct return by sea and starts right at the harbor basin in the heart of the city.
