Guests from the DACH region can reach the island conveniently with Condor direct flights from Frankfurt or via Paris with Air France and Corsair, with the onward journey to the port taking around 15 minutes due to the short distance.

Transfer & Taxi

After landing, there are plenty of taxis available at the airport to take passengers directly via the N1 and N4 national roads to the port entrance. In addition, many cruise lines offer organized shuttle services that meet guests directly at the terminal and guarantee a smooth luggage transfer to the cabin.

Plage de la Datcha

Plage de la Datcha, located in the charming town of Le Gosier, is easily accessible from the port in just about fifteen minutes by taxi and offers fine light-colored sand as well as a picturesque view of the offshore Ilet du Gosier. Thanks to the excellent infrastructure with cozy beach bars and restaurants, you can enjoy a first-class stay by the turquoise sea, including refreshing drinks and local delicacies. Additionally, a short crossing by shuttle boat to the small island of Ilet du Gosier is available, which is ideal for snorkeling in crystal-clear water and for a nature-filled island experience. It is best to visit the beach directly in the morning to experience the relaxed atmosphere in peace, and plan your return trip to the port about ninety minutes before departure for maximum safety.

Returning to the ship

The port of Quai de la Grande Caraïbe is located right at the edge of the city center and, thanks to its central location, allows for a stress-free return to the ship. When traveling from the beaches on Grande-Terre, plan for a buffer as traffic often increases in the afternoon.

On Foot

From the central marketplace Marché de la Darse and the lively Place de la Victoire, you can easily walk back to the ship in about five to ten minutes. The path leads along the waterfront promenade and is easy to find thanks to the prominent silhouette of the cruise ships and clear signage.

Taxi

Taxis are available for the return journey at the popular beaches of Sainte-Anne and Le Gosier, as well as in front of the major hotels. The drivers will take you directly to the port entrance and usually know the ship's departure times exactly, ensuring you reach your terminal punctually and comfortably.

Ferries and Buses

If you have taken an excursion to Le Gosier or the offshore islands, the ferries dock at the Gare Maritime de Bergevin. From this ferry terminal, you can easily reach the cruise center with a short taxi ride or a walk along the harbor; additionally, the orange Karulis buses offer regular connections to the central bus station near the port.
