The Port of Barcelona is one of the most important cruise hubs in the Mediterranean and impresses with a first-class infrastructure featuring a total of nine terminals. Large cruise ships mostly dock at the extensive Moll d'Adossat, which is easily accessible thanks to direct connections to the city center and the surrounding area.

Airplane

Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN) is located only 15 kilometers southwest of the port and is served directly several times a day from all major cities in the DACH region such as Frankfurt, Munich, Zurich, or Vienna. From terminals T1 and T2, you can easily reach your ship directly in about 20 to 30 minutes by taxi or organized cruise line shuttle buses.

Car

Via the AP-7 motorway, travelers from Germany and Switzerland can reach Barcelona directly along the French Mediterranean coast and access the terminals via the coastal road Ronda Litoral (exit 21). For secure vehicle storage, guarded long-term parking is available directly at the World Trade Center (WTC) or through specialized Park & Cruise providers, which guarantee a comfortable transfer to the berths at Moll d'Adossat.

Pre-Cruise Hotel & Transfer

Due to the high appeal of Barcelona and to avoid time pressure, we recommend arriving the day before, including an overnight stay in a city center hotel. On the day of embarkation, the blue T3 Portbus will take you from the central stop at Plaça de les Drassanes directly to the ship; additionally, Barcelona-Sants station offers train travelers an optimal connection to the local transport network.

The blue shuttle bus known as the T3 Portbus runs regularly between the cruise terminals at Moll Adossat and the Christopher Columbus Monument at the end of the Ramblas. This connection is affordable and takes you directly to the edge of the old town and the nearby Drassanes metro station in just a few minutes.

Taxi

You will find marked taxi ranks with a large number of vehicles directly at the exits of each terminal. The ride to the center is comfortable and also allows for a direct transfer to more distant highlights such as the Sagrada Família or Park Güell.

On Foot

Guests at the city-proximate berths near the World Trade Center can enjoy a comfortable 10-minute walk to the promenade. From the more distant piers at Moll Adossat, the path leads across the impressive Porta d'Europa bridge and offers beautiful views of the harbor basin and the maritime district during the approximately 30- to 40-minute walk.

Barri Gòtic & Las Ramblas

Barri Gòtic

The Barri Gòtic is the historical soul of Barcelona and, thanks to its immediate proximity to the cruise port and the convenient shuttle bus to the Columbus Monument, it is excellently accessible for a shore excursion. A stroll through the winding alleys to the impressive Barcelona Cathedral offers fascinating insights into past centuries and is also ideal for lovers of authentic architecture. The numerous charming cafés and small boutiques give the district an exclusive atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed exploration. It is best to visit the Gothic Quarter in the morning to enjoy the special peace in the passages, and plan to return to the ship about two hours before departure to end the day in a relaxed manner.

Returning to the ship

The Port of Barcelona is excellently connected to the city center, allowing you a relaxed and punctual return to the ship thanks to various means of transport.

Cruise Bus (T3 Portbus)

The blue Portbus shuttles at short intervals between the Columbus Monument at the lower end of Las Ramblas and the various cruise terminals at Moll Adossada. This connection is very reliable and takes you directly to the entrance of your respective ship.

Taxi

Throughout the city center and at central locations such as Plaça de Catalunya, you will find numerous taxis at any time for a comfortable return journey. Thanks to the clear signage of the terminals, the drivers will take you quickly to the correct berth and also assist you directly upon arrival at the pier.

Metro and on Foot

From the city center, you can easily reach the port area by taking metro line L3 to the Drassanes station right at the edge of the harbor. While the terminals at the World Trade Center are within a few minutes' walk from there, you should use the convenient shuttle bus for the journey over the port bridge to the more distant berths at Moll Adossada.
