Thanks to its proximity to the regional airport and an efficient connection to the Japanese rail network, the journey to the ship is comfortable and direct.

Airplane

Kochi Ryoma Airport (KCZ) is located about 20 kilometers east of the port and is served several times daily from the major international hubs Tokyo-Haneda (HND) and Osaka (ITM). From there, you can reach the terminal easily by taxi in about 30 minutes or use the Limousine Buses to Kochi city center to continue from there to the port.

Train

JR Kochi Station is the central arrival point for rail travelers and is directly connected to the Shinkansen hub Okayama via the Limited Express Nanpu. From the station, taxis will take you directly to the ship in about 15 to 20 minutes; additionally, many cruise lines provide shuttle buses for their guests on main arrival days, enabling a seamless transfer between the platform and the gangway.

Pre-Cruise Hotel & Transfer

Due to the long journey from the DACH region via the major Japanese metropolises, an overnight stay in Kochi City or in a hotel near JR Kochi Station is recommended. This allows for a relaxed start to the cruise and provides time for sightseeing local highlights such as Kochi Castle, while the transfer to the terminal the next morning is easily handled by taxi or hotel shuttle.

Check-in & Embarkation

Please note that you will usually receive a fixed time slot for check-in with your travel documents, which is binding for your embarkation. Plan sufficient time for your journey to the port accordingly and keep in mind that the latest embarkation time - depending on the cruise line and destination - is usually scheduled about one hour before the planned departure.

The following also applies during the voyage: For shore excursions, you should be back on board at least one hour before departure. Always pay attention to the latest announcements as well as the notices on board, as mooring and departure times can change at short notice.
