Mondello Beach

The dreamlike Mondello Beach can be reached comfortably by taxi from the port in about twenty minutes and offers a magnificent backdrop with crystal-clear, turquoise water and fine, light-colored sand. This stretch of coastline impresses with its elegant Art Nouveau villas and also features first-class infrastructure with well-maintained beach clubs, comfortable sun loungers, and an excellent selection of cafés directly on the promenade. Thanks to its sheltered location and shallow water, the site is ideal for a relaxed swimming experience and also offers perfect opportunities for a stroll in a Mediterranean atmosphere. It is best to visit the beach directly in the morning to secure a prime spot in the shade, and plan your return journey at least ninety minutes before departure to end the day in a relaxed manner back at the ship.

Returning to the ship

The return journey to the Port of Palermo is straightforward thanks to the terminal's central location and allows for a relaxed return to the ship.

Taxi

Taxis are available at central locations such as Piazza Castelnuovo in front of Teatro Politeama or at Piazza Giulio Cesare by the main station. Additionally, cafes and hotels in the old town are happy to call a vehicle for you, which will take you directly to the port entrance on Via Francesco Crispi.

Public Transport & City Shuttles

City bus line 107 conveniently connects the main station with the port area and stops in the immediate vicinity of the terminal entrance. Furthermore, the red Hop-On Hop-Off buses offer a stop directly at the cruise terminal, making the return from more distant sights like the Cathedral easy.

On Foot

From the historic center, you can walk via Via Emerico Amari or Via Roma directly to the port gate in a short amount of time. The path is level as well as well-lit and, thanks to the ships clearly visible on the horizon, easy to find at any time.
