Auto

Thanks to the Ostseeautobahn A20, Greifswald-Wieck is very easy to reach. From the direction of Berlin, you can take the A20 to exit 27 (Gützkow) and then follow the L35 directly to Greifswald. Travelers from Hamburg take the A1 and change at the highway junction 24 to the A20 in the direction of Rostock, to then take the Greifswald exit onto the B109 into the center. Directly in Wieck you will find parking options at the "Parkplatz An der Mühle 4", which offers a maximum daily price of 4 EUR for cars and has a maximum parking duration of two days. Please note that parking spaces in the districts of Wieck and Eldena are limited and violations will be penalized; therefore, the use of public transport or alternative parking spaces in the city center of Greifswald with bus connections is recommended.

Bahn

Greifswald Main Station is an important hub for rail travelers and offers regular connections. From Berlin, you can easily reach Greifswald with the RE3, which operates every two hours. From Hamburg, transfers in Rostock and/or Stralsund are usually required, but the journey is smooth thanks to good connections. From Greifswald Main Station, you can enjoy a relaxed taxi ride of about 7 minutes to the terminal in Wieck. Alternatively, there is a good bus connection: The ride with a local bus line (e.g. Line 2) from Greifswalder Platz der Freiheit to the Wieck bridge takes only around 14 minutes.

Flugzeug

Several airports are available for a convenient arrival by plane. The nearest airport with scheduled flights is Rostock-Laage (RLG), about 95 to 100 kilometers away, from where you can reach Greifswald-Wieck in approximately one hour by car. As larger international hubs, Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) at about 190 to 260 kilometers away or Hamburg (HAM) at around 270 kilometers away are good options. From Berlin Brandenburg, transfers by train (approx. 2 hours 41 minutes to 3 hours 7 minutes with a transfer) or long-distance bus are possible. For longer flight journeys, we recommend staying overnight in one of the centrally located hotels in Greifswald, such as the Hotel Adler near the station, to start your cruise adventure relaxed.

A particularly beautiful path leads along the Ryck River via the historic Treidelpfad directly to the Museumshafen in the center. You should allow around 60 minutes for the approximately five-kilometer walk, enjoying the idyllic nature and the view of passing sailing ships.

Taxi

Taxis are often waiting in the area of the Wiecker Brücke or can be ordered directly to the terminal within a few minutes. The trip to the old town takes about ten minutes and allows for a particularly comfortable journey to the museums and churches of the university city.

Returning to the ship

City Bus and Public Transport

Bus line 2 offers a direct and reliable connection from the Central Bus Station (ZOB) and the Marktplatz to the Wieck Brücke terminus. From there, you can walk across the prominent wooden bascule bridge in just a few steps and, thanks to the short distances, reach your berth at the port directly.

Taxi

Central taxi stands are located at the Bahnhofplatz directly in front of the main railway station and at the Marktplatz near the town hall. On Foot or by Bicycle

The picturesque Ryck-Leinpfad leads you directly along the southern bank of the river, connecting the Museumshafen in the center directly with the fishing village of Wieck.
