Returning to the ship

Dalian, a major port city in Northeast China, is easily accessible for cruise guests from the DACH region thanks to its international airport and good local transport links. The Dalian International Cruise Terminal is centrally located in the East Port district and allows for convenient embarkation.

Airplane

Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport (DLC) is the nearest airport and is located approximately 15 to 20 kilometers from the cruise terminal. It is served by international hubs, but does not offer direct connections from the DACH region. Therefore, connecting flights, for example via major Chinese cities or Asian hubs such as Seoul or Tokyo, are necessary. Arriving at least one day before embarkation is strongly recommended due to the long flight time and time difference.

Transfer & Shuttle

From Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport (DLC), you can reach the cruise terminal comfortably by taxi in about 15 to 20 minutes, with costs of around 40 to 55 CNY. Alternatively, Metro Line 2 offers a direct connection from the airport to the Donggang stop, which is located near the port, with a travel time of about 39 minutes for 4 to 6 CNY. Numerous airport shuttle buses and public bus lines also connect the airport with the city center, from where further short taxi rides to the terminal are possible.

Pre-Cruise Hotel

For a relaxed start to your cruise in Dalian, a pre-cruise stay in a hotel in the city center is strongly recommended. Thanks to the central location of the Dalian International Cruise Terminal, many hotels in downtown Dalian are quickly accessible and provide an ideal base for acclimatization and exploring the city before embarkation. Some hotels also offer their own shuttle services from the airport or are well-connected to the public transport network.

Check-in & Embarkation

Please note that you will usually receive a fixed time slot for check-in with your travel documents, which is binding for your embarkation. Plan sufficient time for your journey to the port accordingly and take into account that the latest embarkation time - depending on the cruise line and destination - is usually about one hour before the scheduled departure.

The same applies during the voyage: for shore excursions, you should be back on board no later than one hour before departure. Always pay attention to the current announcements and notices on board, as docking and departure times can change at short notice.
