Airplane

Arrival from the DACH region is primarily via Athens International Airport (ATH), as there are no direct long-haul flights to Paros. From the airports in Frankfurt, Munich, or Berlin, you can reach Athens with various airlines such as Aegean Airlines or Lufthansa. From Athens Airport, there are regular domestic flights to Paros National Airport (PAS), which is located about 7.5 to 11 kilometers southwest of Parikia and has a flight time of around 45 minutes. From Paros Airport, you can reach the port of Parikia comfortably by taxi in about 10-12 minutes or by public bus in around 20-33 minutes.

Ferry

The ferry is a popular and scenic option to reach Paros, especially from the port of Piraeus in Athens. This route is served by several ferry companies such as Blue Star Ferries and Seajets. High-speed ferries take only about 2 hours 40 minutes to 3 hours 20 minutes for the crossing from Piraeus to Paros, while conventional ferries take an average of 3 hours 53 minutes up to 5-6 hours. There are daily connections, with numerous services during the high season. The ferry port in Parikia is centrally located, and the town center is within walking distance.

Pre-Cruise Hotel

Due to the combined travel with international flights followed by domestic flights or ferry connections, an overnight stay in a pre-cruise hotel is recommended for a relaxed embarkation. On Foot

The picturesque old town of Parikia with its typical white alleys and the famous church of Panagia Ekatontapiliani can be reached comfortably in 5 to 10 minutes. The path leads directly along the lively waterfront promenade and offers an ideal opportunity for a relaxed first stroll.

KTEL Buses

The central bus station is located in the immediate vicinity of the port exit and offers regular connections to the popular town of Naoussa as well as to many other parts of the island. These modern public buses are a reliable choice and also allow for an affordable exploration of the diverse landscape of Paros.

Water Taxis (Kaiki)

Small local boats, known as Kaikis, depart directly from the harbor area and take you on a short sea route to nearby beaches such as Marcello or Krios. These crossings run frequently and simultaneously offer a wonderful perspective of the coastline from the water.

Martselo Beach

The dreamlike Martselo Beach is easily reachable in about ten minutes by water taxi directly from the port in Parikia and impresses with its fine, light sand and crystal-clear, turquoise water. This section of the coast offers you a relaxed atmosphere and also features a first-class infrastructure with the popular Tango Mar Beach Club, where you can enjoy comfortable sunbeds and cool drinks with a magnificent view of the bay. Thanks to the regular boat connections, the excursion can be ideally planned, with an early morning start being perfect to secure one of the sought-after spots right by the water. It is best to plan your return trip by boat at least ninety minutes before the ship's departure to end the day in a relaxed manner and be back at the port on time.

Returning to the ship

The return journey to the port in Parikia is particularly relaxed and safe thanks to the island's central location and excellent connectivity.

Taxi

Central taxi ranks are located directly at the prominent windmill at the entrance to Parikia port, as well as at the main square in the north near Naoussa. Additionally, you can easily pre-order taxis through your hotel or by telephone to ensure a swift and punctual return to your pier.

Regional Buses (KTEL)

The main station for KTEL buses is located immediately next to the harbor basin of Parikia and reliably connects all major parts of the island, such as Lefkes or Naoussa, with the terminal. Thanks to regular intervals and well-signposted stops, you can reach your berth comfortably while enjoying the ride through the Cycladic landscape.

Water Taxis and Walking Distance

Small water taxis bring you directly back to the main pier in Parikia from the popular beaches of Krios and Martselo. If you spend the day in the charming old town, you can simply walk back to the ship in just a few minutes through the picturesque alleys or along the flat waterfront promenade.
