Official taxis wait for passengers directly outside the port terminal exit. In addition, the use of ride-hailing services like Bolt is very common in Riga and offers a comfortable and transparent option for individual trips through the Latvian capital.

Vecrīga - The Old Town

A stroll through these magnificent streets offers cruise guests a unique aesthetic and fascinating historical insights, complemented by charming cafes like "Art Cafe Sienna," which invites you to linger with its stylish interior. Thanks to its central location, a tour of the splendid architecture can be ideally combined with a visit to the adjacent Kronvalda-Park, which provides a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. It is best to visit the district in the morning to admire the detailed sculptures in the soft light of the morning sun and then return to the ship in a relaxed manner and in good time before departure.
The way back to the Riga Passenger Terminal is very relaxed thanks to its immediate proximity to the Old Town and allows you to finish your shore excursion punctually. The paths along the Daugava are certainly lively and offer easy orientation for all cruise guests.
On Foot
From the Town Hall Square or the House of the Blackheads, you can reach the pier in a short walk of about 15 minutes. Simply orient yourself by the prominent Vanšu Bridge and follow the waterfront promenade directly to the clearly visible main building of the passenger terminal.
Taxi
Central taxi stands are located at the Cathedral Square and in front of well-known hotels such as the Grand Hotel Kempinski or the Radisson Blu Latvija. The journey to the terminal takes only a few minutes and is a particularly comfortable and time-saving option for the return journey thanks to the easy accessibility of the quay facilities.
Public Transport
Tram lines 5 and 7 provide a direct connection to the Ausekļa iela stop, which is located just a few steps from the cruise terminal. From there, you can return safely and quickly to the ship's entrance via the well-maintained paths of the adjacent Art Nouveau district.
