Returning to the ship

San Juan is the most important cruise port in the Caribbean and welcomes guests at the historic piers of Old San Juan as well as the modern Pan American Pier. Thanks to the excellent infrastructure and the proximity to the international airport, the start of your vacation is particularly relaxed.

Airplane

Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) is located only about 13 kilometers from the terminals and is usually reached from the DACH region with a stopover in the USA or via seasonal direct flights. The travel time to the port via the PR-26 expressway is only 15 to 20 minutes, depending on the terminal and traffic conditions.

Transfer & Shuttle

From the airport, you can easily reach the ship by licensed taxis or ride-sharing services like Uber, with practical fixed prices often applying for trips to the cruise piers. In addition, many cruise lines and specialized service providers such as Puerto Rico Shuttle offer regular transfers that will bring you safely and directly to your check-in at the Pan American Pier or in Old San Juan.

Pre-Cruise Hotel

Due to the long flight time and the time difference, arriving at least one day before embarkation is highly recommended. Many hotels in the popular districts of Condado or directly in Old San Juan have catered to cruise guests and, thanks to their central location, provide the perfect base for exploring the historic old town before departure.
