Sjøsanden Strand

The nearly one-kilometer-long bay is nestled into the picturesque Furulunden forest park, which also features shaded walking paths and ideal spots for a relaxing picnic right by the sea. Thanks to the well-developed infrastructure with sanitary facilities and small kiosks nearby, you can enjoy a comfortable stay in the southern Norwegian nature. Ideally, use the morning hours for a visit to experience the vastness of the beach in peace, and return comfortably to the ship at least ninety minutes before departure.

Returning to the ship

The way back to the Kleven port can be planned in a relaxed and safe manner thanks to short distances and good organization in Mandal.

Shuttle Bus

Most cruise lines provide convenient shuttle buses that run regularly between the town center at the Buen Culture House and the Kleven terminal. Thanks to the short travel time of only about ten minutes, you will reach your ship punctually and comfortably right at the pier.

Taxis are available for you at the central Mandal rutebilstasjon bus station as well as at the Buen Culture House. The trip to the port is straightforward due to the direct connection and can also be easily arranged through the local provider Mandal Taxi.

On Foot

A walk back to the port takes you across the modern pedestrian bridge and along the town's picturesque waterfront promenades. The approximately 45-minute walk to the Kleven Terminal is well signposted and also offers you the opportunity to enjoy the fresh sea air until you reach the ship.
