Thanks to the compact structure of the modern passenger terminal, you can reach the pier and the city's maritime sights directly on foot.

Car

Arrival from the DACH region is ideally via the Slovenian A1 motorway, which connects Koper directly with Ljubljana as well as the border crossings to Austria (A9 via Spielfeld or A11 via the Karawankentunnel). Monitored long-term parking spaces are available directly at the port as well as in the nearby Belveder parking garage and at the Sonce P+R lot; additionally, specialized Park & Cruise service providers offer convenient parking spaces including a short transfer to the ship.

Koper railway station (Železniška postaja Koper) is connected to the national rail network and regularly receives trains from Ljubljana, which in turn offer connections to Villach and Munich. The terminal is located about 1.5 kilometers from the station and can be easily reached in a few minutes by taxi or during a 20-minute walk along the promenade; due to the charming atmosphere of Koper, an arrival the day before with an overnight stay in the Old Town is recommended.

The picturesque coastal town of Piran can be reached comfortably from the port by taxi in about twenty minutes and is considered the cultural jewel of the Slovenian Adriatic thanks to its magnificent Venetian architecture. A stroll through the winding alleys to the central Tartini Square also offers a first-class selection of charming cafés right by the sea, and the climb to St. George's Church is perfect for a wide panoramic view over the coast. Thanks to its compact size, the town can be ideally explored on foot and invites you to take a relaxed stroll along the waterfront promenade. It is best to start your excursion directly in the morning to enjoy the special atmosphere before the larger crowds of visitors arrive, and plan your return trip at least ninety minutes before casting off.

Returning to the ship

The return journey to the cruise terminal in Koper is extremely relaxed and safe thanks to its central location directly at the historic city center.

On Foot

From the central Titov-Platz or the lively waterfront promenade, you can reach the ship in a few minutes. The path leads through the charming alleys of the old town and is always easy to find thanks to the striking silhouette of your cruise ship.
