Returning to the ship

The picturesque port of Marina Piccola in Sorrento is nestled at the foot of the steep cliffs of the Gulf of Naples and is a popular port of call for exclusive cruise ships and yachts. Thanks to its proximity to the international transport hub of Naples and its excellent connections to the regional transport network, the journey for guests from the DACH region is straightforward and scenically beautiful.

Plane & Transfer

Naples International Airport (NAP) is located approximately 50 kilometers north of Sorrento and is served directly by many cities in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. From the airport, you can reach the port in about 60 to 90 minutes, with the regular Curreri Viaggi shuttle bus offering a direct and comfortable connection. Alternatively, taxis and private transfer services are available at the terminal to take you directly to Marina Piccola via the panoramic road.

Train & Ferry

From Napoli Centrale main station, which is connected to the Italian high-speed network, you can reach Sorrento easily with the Circumvesuviana regional train or the faster Campania Express tourist train in about 70 minutes. A particularly stylish way to arrive is via the high-speed ferry (Aliscafo) from the Molo Beverello port in Naples, which transports you across the sea directly to the pier in Sorrento in just 45 minutes. From the station in Sorrento, a public elevator or a short walk leads down to the harbor basin.

Pre-Cruise Hotel

Due to the city's exposed location and often heavy traffic on the SS145 coastal road, an overnight stay in one of Sorrento's traditional hotels is recommended. This allows for a relaxed start to the cruise and provides an opportunity to enjoy the historic old town and the view of Mount Vesuvius at leisure. Many hotels also offer their own shuttle services to transport you and your luggage directly to the terminal on the morning of embarkation.

Check-in & Embarkation

Please note that you will usually receive a fixed time slot for check-in with your travel documents, which is binding for your embarkation. Plan sufficient time for your journey to the port and take into account that the latest embarkation time—depending on the cruise line and destination—is generally scheduled about one hour before the planned departure.

The same applies during the voyage: for shore excursions, you should be back on board no later than one hour before departure. Always pay attention to the current announcements and notices on board, as mooring and departure times may change at short notice.
