Returning to the ship

Calvi on Corsica is a charming destination whose harbor is located in the heart of the city and is particularly well-suited for arrivals by plane, ferry, or as part of a previous exploration of the island by car. Thanks to its central location, the routes to the ship are usually short and straightforward.

Airplane

The nearest airport is Calvi-Sainte-Catherine (CLY), which is only about 7 kilometers from the harbor. From there, you can reach the cruise terminal comfortably and quickly by taxi in about ten to fifteen minutes. For travelers from the DACH region, direct flights or connections via larger French airports such as Nice or Marseille are available. A pre-cruise hotel in Calvi can prove to be a relaxed start to the cruise in the event of early embarkation times or late arrivals.

Ferry

For travelers who are already exploring Corsica or wish to arrive with their own car, the ferry connection to Calvi is an attractive option. Ferries operate from Nice and Marseille on the French mainland, as well as from various Italian ports. The ferry pier in Calvi is located directly at the harbor, making the path to the cruise ship very short. Arriving by ferry allows you to take your vehicle directly to the harbor, which significantly increases flexibility on-site.

Early research and booking are strongly recommended.

Check-in & Embarkation

Please note that you will usually receive a fixed time slot for check-in with your travel documents, which is binding for your embarkation. Plan sufficient time for your journey to the harbor accordingly and take into account that the latest embarkation time - depending on the cruise line and destination area - is generally scheduled about one hour before the planned departure.

The following also applies during the journey: For shore excursions, you should be back on board at the latest one hour before departure. Always observe the current announcements as well as the notices on board, as mooring and departure times can change at short notice.
