Arnhem welcomes its guests as a vibrant provincial capital on the Lower Rhine and delights with a harmonious blend of modern creativity and eventful history. Thanks to its extensive parks and inviting river promenade, the green city offers a relaxed flair that simultaneously invites discovery. Cultural highlights in the immediate vicinity include the impressive Eusebiuskerk with its spectacular glass panoramic elevator and the world-famous John Frost Bridge, a significant monument of contemporary history. River cruise ships dock directly at the central Rijnkade, allowing travelers to comfortably reach the pulsating city center with its charming alleys and the historic "Duivelshuis" in just a few minutes' walk and thus experience the multifaceted city directly.

The Arnhem cruise port is picturesquely situated on the Lower Rhine and, thanks to its proximity to the German border, offers excellent accessibility for guests from the DACH region. The berths at the central Rijnkade are perfectly integrated into the city's transport network and allow for a straightforward start to your river cruise right on the edge of the historic old town.

Car

Via the A12 motorways from the direction of the Ruhr area and the A50, you can reach Arnhem city center and the central quay facilities directly. For the duration of your trip, secure parking garages such as the Parkhaus Centraal are available near the Rijnkade and at the main railway station; additionally, short-term parking zones directly at the quay allow for convenient unloading of luggage before embarkation.

Train

Arnhem Centraal station is an important hub for international rail traffic and is regularly served by ICE trains from Frankfurt am Main and Cologne. Furthermore, the regional express RE19 connects the city directly with Düsseldorf, so that you can easily reach the ship moorings in about 15 minutes on foot or via a short taxi transfer thanks to the central location.

Airplane

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) offers excellent connections throughout the DACH region and is connected to Arnhem city center in around 70 minutes by direct train. Alternatively, the airports of Düsseldorf (DUS) or Weeze (NRN) are available, from which you can reach the port quickly by train or rental car thanks to the short distance to the Dutch border.

Check-in & Embarkation

Please note that your travel documents usually provide you with a fixed time slot for check-in, which is mandatory for your embarkation. Plan sufficient time for your journey to the port accordingly and take into account that the latest embarkation time—depending on the cruise line and destination—is generally scheduled about one hour before the planned departure.

The following also applies during the trip: for shore excursions, you should be back on board at least one hour before departure. Always pay attention to the current announcements as well as the notices on board, as mooring and departure times can change at short notice.
