The port of Nantes, located in the heart of the Loire estuary, welcomes cruise guests at Quai Wilson on the Île de Nantes, in close proximity to the city center. Thanks to excellent transport links, arrival from the DACH region is convenient by car, train, or plane.

Car

Nantes is well-connected to the French motorway network, and via the ring road (Périphérique), you can easily reach the city center and the Île de Nantes. Parking options for long-term parkers can be found in various parking garages on the Île de Nantes, such as the "Cherche-Midi - Ile de Nantes Zenpark" or the "Novotel - Ile de Nantes Zenpark". In addition, private parking providers in and around Nantes offer parking solutions that can be booked online in advance.

Train

Nantes Main Station (Gare de Nantes) is a major transport hub with good train connections, including from the DACH region via Paris. From the station, you can reach the cruise terminal at Quai Wilson quickly and easily. A taxi ride takes only a few minutes. Alternatively, you can use public transport, such as tram line 1, which runs in the direction of "Gare Maritime".

Plane

The nearest airport is Nantes Atlantique Airport (NTE), located only about 8 to 9.5 kilometers from Quai Wilson and the city center. Various options are available for the transfer: taxis will take you to the port in about 19 minutes, costing around 32 euros for up to four people. Additionally, the "Navette Aeroport Bus" connects the airport directly to Nantes Main Station in approximately 20 to 21 minutes, from where further short connections to the port are available. For a relaxed start to your cruise, a pre-cruise overnight stay in Nantes is recommended for longer journeys.

Check-in & Embarkation

Please note that you will generally receive a fixed time slot for check-in with your travel documents, which is binding for your embarkation. Plan sufficient time for your journey to the port accordingly and keep in mind that the latest embarkation time—depending on the cruise line and destination—is usually scheduled about one hour before the planned departure.

The same applies during the voyage: for shore excursions, you should be back on board at least one hour before departure. Always pay attention to the current announcements and notices on board, as mooring and departure times can change at short notice.
