Port information & tips for Ambrym Island
Ambrym is the mystical "Black Island" of Vanuatu and a fascinating destination in the heart of the South Pacific archipelago. Domestic Flight & Arrival on Ambrym
Ambrym has two smaller domestic airports: Craig Cove (CCV) on the west coast and Ulei (ULB) on the southeast coast. Regular flight connections from Port Vila (VLI) are offered by Air Vanuatu and take about 45 to 50 minutes. These are small local airfields with grass runways, so flight times and availability can be weather-dependent. Further travel from the airport or the landing point on Ambrym is by jeep, local boats, or on foot, as there are no taxis or shuttle services.
