Airplane
The Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR) is located just four kilometers north of the port and is the central arrival point for guests from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Arrival usually takes place via connecting flights in Mexico City or major US hubs such as Dallas or Los Angeles, with the onward journey to the ship being particularly efficient thanks to the short transfer time of about 10 to 15 minutes.
Transfer & Taxi
From the airport and surrounding hotels, you can easily reach the port entrance by taxi or private shuttle service via the well-developed Carretera Federal 200. Thanks to fixed tariff zones for official taxis, travelers benefit from transparent pricing and reach the Terminal Marítimo from nearby Marina Vallarta within a few minutes.
Pre-Cruise Hotel
Due to the long flight time and the time difference, we recommend arriving at least one day before embarkation. Numerous hotels in Marina Vallarta or the Zona Hotelera are within direct sight of the port and allow for a relaxed start to the cruise; additionally, many accommodations offer a practical luggage service or short shuttle connections for check-in.
Check-in & Embarkation
Please note that you will usually receive a fixed time slot for check-in with your travel documents, which is binding for your embarkation. Plan sufficient time for your journey to the port accordingly and consider that the latest embarkation time - depending on the cruise line and destination area - is usually scheduled about one hour before the planned departure.
