Puerto Bolívar is the maritime gateway to the "Banana Capital of the World," Machala, and welcomes travelers with the exotic charm of the Ecuadorian Pacific coast. A closer option is the regional Santa Rosa International Airport (ETR), which is only about 20 kilometers from Machala.

From Guayaquil Airport (GYE), you can easily reach Puerto Bolívar directly by taxi or private shuttle service. The journey takes around 2 hours and 41 minutes, depending on traffic. Alternatively, bus connections from Guayaquil bus station to Machala offer a cost-effective option, taking about 2 hours and 25 minutes. From Machala, you can easily reach the cruise terminal by local taxi in about 15 to 20 minutes.

Due to the long journey from Europe and the transfers, an overnight stay in Guayaquil or Machala is recommended on the day before embarkation. In both cities, you will find a good selection of hotels that allow for a relaxed start to your cruise.
