Port information & tips for Cerro Brujo (San Cristobal, Galapagos)
Cerro Brujo on the north coast of San Cristóbal is a spectacular port of call in the Galápagos Islands and impresses with its completely pristine nature. The wide bay with its powder-sugar white coral sand and crystal-clear water creates a paradisiacal backdrop for wildlife viewing in one of the most fascinating biospheres in the world. Highlights include the striking rock formation León Dormido as well as the diverse fauna with marine iguanas, blue-footed boobies, and playful sea lions right on the shore. Since there is no artificial pier here, landing takes place as a "wet landing" by dinghy directly on the shallow natural beach. The island capital, Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, lies about 20 kilometers to the southwest and is easily accessible by sea thanks to organized ship passages.
Cerro Brujo on San Cristóbal is an untouched natural bay and is approached by cruise ships directly off the coast. Thanks to the ship's own dinghies, you can reach the white sandy beach within a few minutes.

The landing is carried out with agile pangas and leads you directly to the shallow shoreline of the bay. This type of transport is comfortable and at the same time offers the chance of first sightings of marine iguanas and sea lions directly from the water.
On Foot
The entire area of the bay as well as the adjacent lagoons can be ideally explored during a hike. The paths are natural and, thanks to the direct location by the sea, enable a relaxed nature experience in the immediate vicinity of the shore.
