Airplane

For travelers from the DACH region, traveling by plane is the most common method, usually with a layover in Oslo (OSL) or Tromsø (TOS) and a connecting flight to the nearest airport, Honningsvåg Airport, Valan (HVG). This airport is located about 13 kilometers as the crow flies or around 21-22 road kilometers from Skarsvåg. From Honningsvåg (HVG), you can reach Skarsvåg comfortably by taxi in about 20 minutes. Alternatively, a bus (Snelandia line 240/Fleks815) operates with a transfer in Skipsfjord, taking about 1 hour and 20 minutes. Due to the long journey, an overnight stay in Honningsvåg before embarkation is recommended to start your cruise adventure relaxed.

Auto

Skarsvåg is accessible via the European route E69, which is considered the northernmost public road in Europe and connects Honningsvåg with the Nordkapp. The drive from Honningsvåg to Skarsvåg takes about 20-22 minutes over a distance of around 23-25 kilometers. Parking is available in the village and the immediate vicinity, such as at Skarsvåg Parkering, although early arrival is advisable during high season. Please note that road conditions, especially on the E69 between Skarsvåg and the Nordkapp, may require convoy driving in winter due to weather conditions.

Bus (Local Transport)

A local bus service, line Fleks815, connects Honningsvåg directly with Skarsvåg. The journey from Honningsvåg to Skarsvåg takes approximately 28-30 minutes. It is important to note that this bus often operates as a "bus on demand" and booking at least 4 hours in advance is recommended. There are also bus connections from Honningsvåg Airport (HVG) to Skarsvåg, which may involve a transfer and take about 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Check-in & Embarkation

Please note that you will generally receive a fixed time slot for check-in with your travel documents, which is binding for your embarkation. Plan sufficient time for your journey to the port accordingly and take into account that the latest embarkation time - depending on the cruise line and destination - is usually scheduled about one hour before the planned departure.
