From Vágar to Oyndarfjørður, which is located on the island of Eysturoy, the driving time by car is about one hour, and the distance is around 70 kilometers. There is no direct bus connection to the village of Oyndarfjørður. Therefore, private transfers or pre-booked taxis directly from the airport are recommended. Due to the travel time and the often early embarkation for expedition cruises in Oyndarfjørður, a stay overnight in advance is strongly recommended, for example in Tórshavn or a larger town on Eysturoy. This ensures a relaxed start to your cruise without the pressure of time to go on board immediately after a long journey.
