The closest airport is Natchez-Adams County Airport (HEZ), located approximately 11 kilometers northeast of the city. Starting July 1, 2026, United Express (operated by SkyWest Airlines) will offer daily nonstop flights to George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) in Houston, which significantly simplifies the journey. Alternatively, you can use larger airports in the region, such as Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport (BTR), which is about 130 kilometers away with a travel time of around 1.5 hours, or Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport (JAN) at a distance of approximately 169 kilometers. Comfortable shuttle or taxi transfers to Natchez are available from these airports.
Car & Parking
Natchez is easily accessible by car thanks to its good connection to the road network. US Highway 61, also known as "The Blues Highway," leads directly to Natchez and connects the city with New Orleans and Baton Rouge to the south, as well as Memphis to the north.
