The river cruise ships dock directly at the central Quai de la Moselle, from where the idyllic pedestrian zone and all sights are easily and barrier-free accessible in just a few minutes' walk thanks to the first-class location.
Grevenmacher, picturesquely situated on the Luxembourg Moselle, is a charming destination for river cruises. Cruise ships dock here directly at the town pier on the Esplanade de la Moselle, allowing guests to reach the center easily on foot – a classic terminal building is not required here.
Car
Arriving by car is straightforward thanks to the region's good road connections. Grevenmacher can be reached via the Luxembourg A1 motorway (European route E44), which leads from the direction of Luxembourg City as well as from the German border near Trier. Various parking options are available in the town, including parking spaces along the Moselle promenade and the "Centre" and "Réngmauer" underground car parks, the latter of which offers two hours of free parking.
Train
For arrival by train from the DACH region, we recommend traveling to Luxembourg Main Station (Luxembourg Gare Centrale). From there, you can easily reach Grevenmacher by bus thanks to the well-developed public transport system, which is free of charge throughout Luxembourg. The bus journey from Luxembourg City to Grevenmacher takes about 30 to 40 minutes depending on the connection, and the bus stops in Grevenmacher are only a short walk from the pier.
Airplane
The nearest airport is Luxembourg Airport (LUX), also known as Findel, located approximately 20 to 21.6 kilometers west of Grevenmacher. Direct bus connections to Grevenmacher are available from the airport, which can also be used free of charge and have a travel time of about 23 to 40 minutes. Alternatively, a quick taxi ride is available, taking you directly to the pier in about 20 minutes.
