La Goulette is the history-steeped gateway to the Tunisian capital, Tunis, welcoming guests with a fascinating blend of Mediterranean flair and North African hospitality. The port impresses with its location on the deep blue Mediterranean Sea and offers an inviting atmosphere thanks to its authentic architecture. In direct proximity are world-famous highlights such as the ancient ruins of Carthage, the picturesque artists' village of Sidi Bou Saïd with its blue-and-white alleys, and the vibrant Medina of Tunis. Cruise ships dock at the modern Goulette Village Harbor, which offers travelers a charming oriental shopping village directly on the quay. From this terminal, the city center—about ten kilometers away—and all major sights are easily and quickly accessible by taxi or train connection.

Airplane
Tunis-Carthage International Airport (TUN) is located only 10 kilometers from the cruise terminal and is regularly served by flights from Frankfurt, Munich, Vienna, and Zurich. The journey to the port takes around 15 to 20 minutes by taxi or organized cruise line transfer, allowing travelers to reach their ship directly.
Ferry & Car
Travelers from the DACH region often use the direct ferry connection from Genoa or Marseille to comfortably cross to La Goulette with their own car. The port is also excellently connected to the Tunisian long-distance road network and is accessible via the Rades Bridge and the A1 motorway, with secure parking facilities for long-term parkers available directly in the port area.
Pre-Cruise Hotel
For a relaxed start to your vacation, we recommend arriving the day before with an overnight stay in the nearby artist village of Sidi Bou Said or in the hotel complexes of Gammarth. These are only about a 15-minute drive from the terminal and also offer the opportunity to visit the famous ruins of Carthage before embarkation.

Please note that you will usually receive a fixed time slot for check-in with your travel documents, which is binding for your embarkation. Plan sufficient time for the journey to the port accordingly and keep in mind that the latest embarkation time - depending on the cruise line and destination - is usually scheduled about one hour before the planned departure.
