The port of Tarragona impresses with its excellent location on the Costa Dorada and is easily accessible for international cruise guests thanks to the modern infrastructure at the Moll de Balears. The connection to two nearby airports as well as the well-developed Spanish motorway network ensures a relaxed journey to the terminal.
Airplane
Reus Airport (REU) is located only about 10 kilometers from the port and is served by direct flights from various European cities during the season. Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN) also serves as a major international hub, located around 85 kilometers away and offering daily direct connections from across the DACH region, with a transfer time to the cruise terminal of approximately one hour.
Auto
Travelers reach the port via the AP-7 motorway and the A-7 expressway, which provide a direct connection along the Mediterranean coast towards France and to the south. Secured long-term parking is available in the immediate vicinity of the Moll de Balears berth; additionally, local service providers offer comfortable Park & Cruise options including a shuttle service directly to check-in.
Train
Tarragona's central train station offers regular regional connections, while the Camp de Tarragona station, located about 12 kilometers outside the city, is connected to the Spanish AVE high-speed network. From there, guests can reach the port in about 15 to 20 minutes by taxi or shuttle, benefiting from fast connections from major cities such as Madrid or Barcelona.
Check-in & Embarkation
Please note that your travel documents usually include a fixed time slot for check-in, which is mandatory for your embarkation. Plan sufficient time for your journey to the port and keep in mind that the latest embarkation time - depending on the cruise line and destination - is usually scheduled about one hour before the planned departure.
