There is no direct rail connection in Iceland, so planes and cars are the primary modes of transport.
Airplane
The nearest international airport is Keflavík (KEF), only about 20 to 25 kilometers from Grindavík. Direct flights from Frankfurt, Munich, Zurich, and Vienna make the journey convenient. Thanks to the short transfer time of about 20-30 minutes by taxi or rental car, you can reach Grindavík quickly after landing. It is generally recommended to arrive one day before embarkation to prevent flight delays and to enjoy the unique surroundings of Reykjanes.
Transfer & Shuttle
Various transfer options are available from Keflavík Airport (KEF) to Grindavík. Taxis offer a direct and comfortable service.
