Travel from the DACH region usually arrives via Keflavík International Airport (KEF) near Reykjavík. From there, due to the distance of about 589 kilometers, the most convenient way to continue to Djupivogur is with a domestic flight to the nearest regional airport, Egilsstaðir (EGS). This is located around 69 to 71 kilometers north of Djupivogur. The driving time from Egilsstaðir Airport to Djupivogur is approximately 1 hour and 8 minutes by car or private transfer.
Pre-Cruise Arrival & Domestic Flight
Due to the long international flight time to Iceland and the onward journey to the remote Eastfjords, a pre-cruise arrival of at least one day before embarkation is recommended.
