Car
The journey by car is comfortable thanks to the A20 motorway (Gützkow exit) and the direct B111 federal road. The B111 leads you directly into the harbor area of Wolgast. Various parking options are available near the harbor, including the Hafenstraße car park (partially subject to a fee), the Werftstraße car park (free with a parking disc), and the Wilhelmstraße car park (free). Some hotels in Wolgast also offer secure parking for the duration of your trip.
Train
A particularly relaxed arrival is possible by train to the "Wolgast Hafen" stop, which is located directly on the water and in the immediate vicinity of the ship's berth. From here, it is only a few minutes' walk to the terminal. The Usedomer Bäderbahn (UBB) and DB Regio Nordost serve this station, offering connections via Züssow or Stralsund with links to the ICE and Regionalexpress network towards Berlin and Stralsund.
Airplane
The nearest airport is Heringsdorf (HDF) on Usedom, approximately 30 to 47 kilometers from Wolgast. From there, flight connections exist to Frankfurt/Main, among others. Further travel to Wolgast is possible by bus and train from Heringsdorf station and takes about two hours. For more distant departure airports, Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) is an option, reachable by a train journey of about 4.5 hours. For longer journeys, an overnight stay in one of the charming hotels in Wolgast before the day of embarkation is recommended for a stress-free start to your cruise.
Check-in & Embarkation
Please note that you will usually receive a fixed time slot for check-in with your travel documents, which is binding for your embarkation. Plan sufficient time for the journey to the port accordingly and keep in mind that the latest embarkation time - depending on the cruise line and destination area - is generally scheduled about one hour before the planned departure.
Also during the trip: For shore excursions, you should be back on board no later than one hour before departure. Always pay attention to the current announcements as well as the notices on board, as mooring and departure times can change at short notice.
