Car
The journey to Sülfeld (Wolfsburg) is excellent via the A2 motorway (Hannover-Berlin) as well as the A39 in the direction of Wolfsburg. For guests arriving with their own vehicle, a visitor car park is available directly at the Sülfeld lock, which can often be used free of charge. This ensures your vehicle is safely parked during your river cruise.
Train
Wolfsburg Main Station (WOB) is a central hub in the German rail network and offers numerous ICE and IC direct connections from major cities such as Berlin, Hannover, or Braunschweig. From Wolfsburg Main Station or the Central Bus Station (ZOB), you can then easily reach Sülfeld in around 30 minutes using local bus lines, such as line 203 or 261.
Airplane
For a convenient arrival by flight, Hannover Airport (HAJ) is an ideal choice, ensuring good accessibility as an international airport. Braunschweig-Wolfsburg Airport (BWE) primarily serves factory and research flights and is not intended for commercial passengers. The distance from Hannover Airport to Wolfsburg is approximately 74 to 93 kilometers. From Hannover Airport, you can usually reach Wolfsburg Main Station by train in about 56 minutes to 1 hour and 9 minutes, often with one change. A taxi ride or private transfer to the Wolfsburg area takes about 54 to 59 minutes. From there, good bus connections to Sülfeld are available.

Plan sufficient time for the journey to the port accordingly and take into account that the latest embarkation time - depending on the cruise line and destination area - is usually scheduled about one hour before the planned departure.

On Foot and Orientation
The path along the Mittellandkanal is flat and very well-developed, making orientation easy thanks to the distinctive course of the waterway. Since the route from the city center to Sülfeld covers several kilometers, this walk is ideal for guests with sufficient time and a love for moving in the fresh air.
