Leer is known as the "Gateway to East Friesland" and is a maritime gem in northwestern Germany. Car
Leer is excellently connected via the A28 motorway and the well-developed road network of Ostfriesland, enabling a relaxed arrival by car. Train
Leer (Ostfriesland) station is an important regional hub with good connections from various directions, including Münster/Ruhr area, Oldenburg, and Bremen. From the station, you can reach the port comfortably by taxi or with a short walk of just a few minutes, as the bus station is located directly in front of the station building, ensuring good connections to the city center.
Airplane
For international guests or longer journeys by plane, Groningen Airport Eelde (GRQ) in the Netherlands, about 60 kilometers away, or Bremen Airport (BRE), approximately 90 kilometers away, are suitable options. There are good connection possibilities by train and bus from both airports to Leer, and rental cars or taxi services can also be used for a comfortable transfer to the port.
Check-in & Embarkation
Please note that you will usually receive a fixed time slot for check-in with your travel documents, which is binding for your embarkation.
