Travelers will find a wide range of free parking spaces in Lauffen am Neckar. For longer stays, the P6 Hagdol/Nordheimer Straße parking lot is recommended, which also allows for all-day parking. Other parking facilities in the town center are generally free of charge for two hours.
Train
Lauffen (Neckar) station is an important hub on the Stuttgart – Heilbronn – Würzburg line and is excellently integrated into the regional rail network. You can reach Lauffen from Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof in around 30 minutes, while the journey from Heilbronn Hauptbahnhof takes only about 9 minutes. The station is barrier-free and offers a comfortable journey. From there, you can easily reach the river cruise ship docks in the town center on foot or by the local city bus.
Airplane
The nearest airport is Stuttgart Airport (STR), which is approximately 43 kilometers from Lauffen am Neckar. Traveling from Stuttgart Airport to the Lauffen port is convenient: a train connection with one change at Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof will take you to Lauffen am Neckar in about 1 hour and 12 to 14 minutes. Alternatively, you can reach Lauffen from Stuttgart Airport by car or taxi in only about 45 minutes. A private airport transfer can also be considered for a relaxed arrival.
