Returning to the ship

Koblenz, located at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle, is easily accessible for cruise guests from the DACH region and offers unforgettable experiences, especially during the annual "Rhein in Flammen" event. The embarkation points for river cruise ships are centrally located on the banks of the Rhine and are easy to reach thanks to good connections to the transport network.

Car

Thanks to the A 61 (from the north and south) and A 48 (from the east and west, connected to the A 3 and A 61) motorways, Koblenz is perfectly connected to the German road network. During "Rhein in Flammen", it is strongly recommended to use the free Park & Ride (P+R) service, whose car parks are marked with a red dot and from which shuttle buses run to the city center every 15 minutes (approx. 17:00 to 02:00). For longer stays or outside of the event, central multi-storey car parks such as the Görresplatz, Schloss, or Forum Mittelrhein underground car parks are also available. Special "Park & Boat" providers also offer reserved parking spaces with a shuttle service directly to the jetties for a relaxed start to your river cruise.

Train

Koblenz Main Station (Koblenz Hbf) is an important hub in the German rail network and enables a comfortable journey from all regions. From there, you can easily reach the central embarkation points by local bus lines or in about a 30-minute walk along the Rhine facilities. During "Rhein in Flammen", Deutsche Bahn increases its service with additional late trains on various lines to ensure a relaxed return journey after the fireworks.
