Bad Cannstatt is the tradition-steeped gateway to the Baden-Württemberg state capital of Stuttgart and impresses with its idyllic location directly on the banks of the Neckar. Train
Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof is an important hub in the ICE network with numerous direct connections from all over Germany. From there, you can reach Bad Cannstatt station, Stuttgart's second largest station after the main station, quickly and easily with the S-Bahn lines S1, S2, or S3. From Bad Cannstatt station, the berth at Cannstatter Wasen can be reached in less than ten minutes on foot; the path is well signposted. Taxis are also available at the station for a short transfer.
Airplane
The nearest airport is Stuttgart Airport (STR), located about 22 kilometers from Bad Cannstatt. From there, there is a direct S-Bahn connection with lines S2 or S3 to Bad Cannstatt station, which takes about 31 minutes. Alternatively, taxis offer a quick transfer option, with a journey time of about 21 to 22 minutes. For a relaxed start to your river cruise, especially for longer journeys, an overnight stay in one of the nearby hotels in Bad Cannstatt or Stuttgart on the day before may be recommended.
Check-in & Embarkation
