Car

Train

Taxi & shuttle service

Official taxis are available directly in front of the terminal exits in HafenCity, Altona, and Steinwerder. The journey to the city center takes about 10 to 20 minutes, depending on the berth, and is direct and straightforward thanks to the well-developed traffic routes.

On foot & bus line 111

From the HafenCity terminal, you can reach many sights in just 10 minutes on foot. In addition, the well-known bus line 111 connects the various cruise locations on an attractive route with the most important cultural highlights as well as the Kiez and Hamburg city center.

Warnemünder Sandstrand

The extensive beach of Warnemünde is considered one of the most beautiful and widest sandy beaches on the German Baltic coast and can be reached comfortably from the cruise terminal in only about ten minutes on foot. With its fine, white sand and first-class infrastructure, including iconic beach chairs and a well-maintained promenade, this location offers an ideal mix of maritime flair and relaxation. Thanks to its immediate proximity to the "Alter Strom," you will also find numerous charming cafés and small boutiques for a cozy break directly by the water. It is best to visit the beach in the morning to enjoy the fresh sea breeze by the lighthouse in peace, and plan your return to the ship at least ninety minutes before departure to end the day in a relaxed manner.

Returning to the ship

The journey back from Rostock's sights or the fine sandy beach to the passenger quay is very simple and relaxed thanks to the excellent infrastructure.

S-Bahn and Regional Rail

S-Bahn trains connect Rostock city center directly with Warnemünde station at high frequencies. From there, you can reach the cruise terminals comfortably in just a few minutes on foot via a well-signposted and barrier-free path right along the water.

Taxi

Taxis can be found at central locations such as the station forecourt, the Kirchenplatz in the town center, and directly in front of the prominent Hotel Neptun on the beach promenade. Thanks to the short distances within the seaside resort, you will arrive at your berth at the quay punctually and safely.

On Foot

From the Alter Strom or the promenade, you can stroll back to the port area in about ten to fifteen minutes. The path is also clearly laid out and leads you safely through the lively pedestrian zone and past maritime landmarks directly to the ship.
