Returning to the ship

The cruise port of Ra's al-Chaima welcomes you with a modern terminal directly adjacent to the historic old town and is easily accessible thanks to excellent connections to international airports and the road network, allowing for a relaxed journey from the DACH region.

Airplane

For travelers from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, traveling by plane is the most comfortable option. The nearest international airport is Dubai International Airport (DXB), which is served by direct flights from major European cities. It is located approximately 85 kilometers from Ra's al-Chaima and can be reached in about 45 to 70 minutes by car. Alternatively, Ras Al Khaimah International Airport (RKT) offers an even faster journey to the city, being only about 18 kilometers away.

Transfer & Shuttle

From Dubai International Airport (DXB), you can easily reach Ra's al-Chaima by taxi or a pre-booked private transfer. Numerous local providers offer air-conditioned vehicles and meet-and-greet services that take you directly to your hotel or the cruise terminal. Taxis and private shuttles are also available from Ras Al Khaimah (RKT) and Sharjah (SHJ) airports, ensuring a swift onward journey to the port.

Pre-Cruise Hotel

Due to the long flight time from the DACH region, it is recommended to arrive in Ra's al-Chaima at least one day before embarkation. This not only allows you to overcome jet lag in peace but also to explore the diverse attractions of the emirate at your leisure. Many hotels in Ra's al-Chaima, especially luxurious beach resorts, offer excellent accommodation and are often connected to the terminal by short taxi rides or hotel shuttles.

Check-in & Embarkation

Please note that your travel documents usually provide a fixed time slot for check-in, which is mandatory for your embarkation. Plan sufficient time for your journey to the port and keep in mind that the latest embarkation time—depending on the cruise line and destination—is generally about one hour before the scheduled departure.

The same applies during the voyage: for shore excursions, you should be back on board no later than one hour before departure. Always pay attention to the current announcements and notices on board, as mooring and departure times may change at short notice.
