The travel time to Yarmouth by car or shuttle is around 3 hours 45 minutes to 4 hours. Convenient transfer options are available via pre-booked taxi or limousine services offering direct trips, or through regional shuttle services such as CSI Transfers, which provide daily connections between Halifax Airport and Yarmouth, including stops in communities like Tusket. Due to the long journey from Europe and the transfer time to the port, we recommend staying overnight in Halifax or Yarmouth on the day before embarkation to start your cruise adventure relaxed.
Car
Yarmouth is easily accessible thanks to good road connections. The main route is the Nova Scotia Highway 103, which leads directly from Halifax to the port city and takes about 3.5 to 4 hours of driving time. Alternatively, Highway 101 offers a scenic journey through the Annapolis Valley. Parking facilities are available directly at the port of Yarmouth to safely park your vehicle during the cruise.
Ferry
A special arrival option is offered by the high-speed ferry "The CAT," which operates seasonally (May to October) between Bar Harbor, Maine (USA), and Yarmouth. The crossing takes only about 3.5 hours and is ideal for guests who wish to combine their Canada cruise with a trip through New England. Additionally, the ferry "Fundy Rose" connects Saint John, New Brunswick, with Digby, Nova Scotia, from where Yarmouth is only about an hour's drive away.
Check-in & Embarkation
