Cruise ships dock at the centrally located Port of Ystad (Ystad Hamn), from where the historic old town can be easily explored on foot in just a few minutes thanks to the short distances.
The Port of Ystad in southern Sweden is ideally accessible for cruise guests from the DACH region thanks to its excellent transport links and central location. The terminals for cruise and ferry ships are within walking distance of the charming city center and the train station, allowing for an uncomplicated arrival. Ships usually dock at the South Quay (Berth 7), where a mobile tourist information tent awaits guests.
Car
The Port of Ystad is directly connected to the Swedish trunk road network via the E65 European route, which ensures a convenient journey, for example from Malmö. Both short-term and secure long-term parking spaces are available on site in the immediate vicinity of the terminal. Train
Ystad Station is a central hub for regional rail traffic and is located in direct proximity to the ferry terminal, only about a 12-minute walk away. From here, there are regular train connections to Malmö, which take less than an hour, and also offer connections to trains to Copenhagen. Thanks to this excellent connection, you can reach your ship comfortably and relaxed.
Airplane
The nearest airport is Malmö Airport (MMX), approximately 38 kilometers from Ystad, with a travel time of around 30 to 33 minutes by taxi or private transfer. Another attractive option is the larger Copenhagen Airport (CPH), located about 80 kilometers away. From Copenhagen, you can reach Ystad in a relaxed manner in about 1 hour and 30 minutes thanks to direct train connections. For international flights, it is recommended to arrive the day before so that you can start your cruise experience well-rested and on time.
