Airplane
For guests from the DACH region, Göteborg Landvetter Airport (GOT), located approximately 104 to 119 kilometers away, is the nearest major international airport with good direct connections. From there, you can easily reach Fjällbacka in about 1.5 to 3 hours using a combination of bus and train or by rental car. The smaller Trollhättan Airport (THN) is even closer at around 63 to 70 kilometers, but offers fewer direct flights. Due to transfer times, an overnight stay in Göteborg or Fjällbacka the day before is recommended for those traveling from further away.
Car
Arriving by your own car or a rental car is convenient, as Fjällbacka is well-connected via the E6 European highway, which runs along the Swedish west coast. In the village, there are designated public parking lots at the entrance to the town, often for both short-term and long-term parkers. It is recommended to use these parking facilities outside the immediate center to relieve the picturesque alleys.
Train & Bus
Although Fjällbacka does not have its own train station, arriving by train in combination with a bus is a good option. The nearest major train station is Dingle, from where local bus lines run directly to Fjällbacka. You can also reach Fjällbacka from Göteborg Central Station (Göteborgs Centralstation) using a combination of train and bus, for example via Dingle or Tanum. The total travel time from Göteborg is approximately 2 to 3 hours.
Check-in & Embarkation
