Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) near Colombo serves as the international destination airport for travelers from the DACH region. From there, it is possible to take a domestic flight with Cinnamon Air to China Bay Airport (TRR) in Trincomalee, which shortens the travel time to about 45 minutes while offering spectacular views over the island. China Bay Airport (TRR), also known as Trincomalee Airport, is located only about 7 kilometers southwest of the city of Trincomalee and the port. Due to the long journey from Europe, an overnight stay in Colombo or the surrounding region before the onward flight to Trincomalee is recommended.
Transfer & Shuttle
From Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) in Colombo, which is approximately 234 to 240 kilometers from Trincomalee, the most comfortable way to continue to the cruise port is with a pre-booked private taxi or a chauffeur service. The journey on well-maintained roads takes about 4.5 to 5.5 hours depending on traffic and offers you a relaxed start to your cruise vacation thanks to direct transport to your hotel or terminal. Alternatively, some hotels also offer transfers.

Check-in & Embarkation
