Returning to the ship

Subic Bay, nestled within the former US naval base, has developed into an attractive cruise port on Luzon, Philippines. The port area within the Subic Bay Freeport Zone (SBFZ) is easily accessible and, thanks to its central location and deep channel, allows for a direct walk from ship to nearby shops and restaurants.

Airplane

For international guests from the DACH region, Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) in Manila and Clark International Airport (CRK) are the primary arrival airports. MNL is located about 175 kilometers southeast of Subic Bay; the journey takes between 2 hours and 13 minutes to 2 hours and 37 minutes, depending on traffic. Clark International Airport (CRK) is significantly closer at around 80 to 88 kilometers away and can be reached in approximately 1 hour and 16 minutes to 2 hours and 30 minutes. The local Subic Bay International Airport (SFS) is primarily used for charter flights or domestic connections.

Car

The port of Subic Bay is easily accessible by car thanks to the well-developed road network. The journey is via the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) and the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEx). Take the Tipo/Subic exit, which leads directly to the Subic Freeport Expressway (SFEX) and further into the Subic Bay Freeport Zone. The driving time from Manila is about two hours. Spacious and free parking is also available in the port area of the Subic Bay Freeport Zone.

Transfer & Pre-Cruise Hotel

Due to the long journey from the DACH region, it is advisable to arrive at least one day before embarkation to start your cruise relaxed. Private transfers are available from MNL and CRK airports, providing a comfortable and direct ride to the cruise port. A pre-cruise hotel in the Subic Bay Freeport Zone or near Clark Airport (CRK) allows you to adjust to the time difference and explore the surroundings stress-free before your cruise begins.

Check-in & Embarkation

Please note that you will usually receive a fixed time slot for check-in with your travel documents, which is binding for your embarkation. Plan sufficient time for the journey to the port and take into account that the latest embarkation time - depending on the cruise line and destination - is usually scheduled about one hour before the planned departure.

The same applies during the journey: for shore excursions, you should be back on board at least one hour before departure. Always observe the current announcements and notices on board, as mooring and departure times can change at short notice.
