From Hyuga-shi Station, you can easily reach the port with a roughly 10-minute taxi ride.

Thanks to the well-maintained paths and small stations for traditional lucky charms, the visit can be ideally combined with a relaxed walk by the sea. It is best to visit the shrine in the morning to experience the special spiritual tranquility before the main visiting times and return to the ship relaxed in the early afternoon.

The city of Hyuga usually offers free shuttle buses that commute between the JR Hyuga-shi station at the east exit and the cruise terminal. These buses run at regular intervals and bring you comfortably directly back to the ship's security area.
Taxi
Taxis are available at the official stand directly in front of the JR Hyuga-shi station as well as at popular sights such as the Omi-jinja Shrine. The drivers are well acquainted with the berths in the port of Hososhima and will take you quickly and easily to the correct terminal entrance.
Orientation and walking path
Within the port area and at central points in Hyuga, clear signs and friendly local helpers point the way back to the pier. Due to the distance between the city center and the industrial port, the return journey is best completed by combining it with the shuttle or taxi for a relaxed finish.
