Returning to the ship

Jaipur, the fascinating "Pink City", often serves as an unforgettable starting point or destination for shore excursions during cruises that begin or end in India's coastal cities, or is part of a longer round trip. Due to the long journey from the DACH region, it is advisable to arrive in Jaipur at least one day before your planned stay to start your adventure in a relaxed manner.

Airplane

Jaipur International Airport (JAI) is the nearest airport and is located about 10 to 12 kilometers south of Jaipur city center. There are usually no direct flight connections from the DACH region; travel usually takes place via hubs such as Delhi (DEL) or Mumbai (BOM), which are served directly from Frankfurt, Munich, or Zurich. From Delhi, it is then about another 45 to 60 minutes flight time to Jaipur. Taxis and pre-booked transfer services are available at the airport and will take you to your hotel in the city in about 30 to 45 minutes.

Train

Jaipur Junction (JP) main station is excellently connected to the Indian rail network and is an important hub for travelers from all over India. Connections from Delhi, Agra, and Mumbai are particularly popular. Trains such as the Shatabdi Express offer a comfortable and quick journey from Delhi, which takes about 4-5 hours. From the station, you can easily reach your accommodation by taxi, tuk-tuk, or via ridesharing services; most hotels can be reached within 15-30 minutes.

Transfer & Shuttle

For travel within India and arrival in Jaipur, booking a private transfer or using taxi services is the most common method. From Delhi, where most international flights from the DACH region land, private transfer services are available that will take you directly to Jaipur in about 4-6 hours on well-developed highways such as the NH48. Many hotels in Jaipur also offer their own pick-up services from the airport or train station, which guarantees a stress-free arrival. Local taxi and ridesharing providers such as Ola or Uber are also a practical option for trips within the city and from the airport or train station to your hotel.

Check-in & Embarkation

Please note that you will usually receive a fixed time slot for check-in with your travel documents, which is binding for your embarkation. Plan sufficient time for your journey to the port accordingly and take into account that the latest embarkation time - depending on the cruise line and destination area - is usually scheduled about one hour before the planned departure.

The following also applies during the trip: For shore excursions, you should be back on board at least one hour before departure. Always pay attention to the current announcements and the notices on board, as mooring and departure times can change at short notice.
