Amílcar Cabral International Airport (SID) on Sal is the nearest airport and is located only about 5 kilometers from Palmeira. It serves as the main international airport of the Cape Verde Islands and allows for a convenient arrival, often with a stopover in Lisbon.
Transfer & Shuttle
From Amílcar Cabral International Airport (SID), you can reach the port of Palmeira comfortably by taxi in about 10 to 20 minutes. The trip costs around 54 Euros or 56 US Dollars, although it is advisable to agree on the price in advance. In addition, various providers for private airport transfers are available, where the driver will meet you directly in the arrivals hall with a name sign and take flight delays into account.
