About Phoenix Reisen
The German tour operator Phoenix Reisen was founded in 1973. In 1988 they started cruising the oceans with the charter of the ship Maxim Gorkiy. Starting as a pure ocean shipping company, Phoenix Reisen expanded its range in 1993 to include the popular river cruises. The four well-known ocean liners are now joined by more than 30 river ships as well as a few smaller ships for exceptional destinations. The shipping company is still in family hands and attaches great importance to a friendly and pleasant atmosphere aboard their ships.
Dnepr Princess
The MS Dnepr Princess was built in 1976 in a series of identical sister ships in Germany and is regularly renovated, most recently in 2015. The large sundeck and the surrounding promenade invite you to relax and watch the fascinating river landscape. With a length of 129 m and 5 passenger decks, the MS Dnepr Princess offers space for up to 260 passengers.

Dnepr Princess staterooms
The two-bed staterooms on board the ship are between approx. 9 and 11 sqm. The junior suites offer enough space on approx. 15-18 sqm, while single staterooms are approx. 8 sqm. All staterooms are outside staterooms, mostly with large windows that can be opened. Only staterooms on the lower deck have portholes that cannot be opened. In bad weather and on the Black Sea, the windows on the main deck are also locked. Basic equipment in all staterooms is: shower/WC, air conditioning/heating, a hairdryer, a TV, a radio and a daily newspaper. The voltage is 230 V AC.
Atmosphere on board of Dnepr Princess
As on all Phoenix ships, the atmosphere on board the MS Dnepr Princess is cosy and informal. The dresscode on board is casual, a more elegant wardrobe is expected for the traditional captain's dinner, but no evening wear is necessary here. Regional events, live music and light entertainment make your trip a successful holiday experience. The on-board languages are German and Ukrainian and the currencies on board are Euro and Hryvnia.

Look forward to a rich breakfast buffet and enjoyable lunches and dinners in one table. The kitchen on board the Dnepr Princess offers typical Ukrainian cuisine, at the level of traditional comfort hotels in 2 panoramic restaurants. On river days there is also afternoon coffee or tea and pastries. The well-rehearsed kitchen and service team spoils you with all the amenities that the kitchen has to offer. On request, meals can also be prepared gluten-free, lactose-free or diabetic-friendly. In addition, on many trips there is the traditional captain's reception and the captain's dinner with a festive menu.
Entertainment, sports & relaxation
During most of the the trips, dancing evenings with live music are offered. A selection of books, board and card games is at your disposal. Regional events, such as folklore performances, language courses or lectures about the country and its people do not leave boredom on board. The barber and beauty salon invite you to relax or you can enjoy the beauty of the Ukrainian river landscapes from the sundeck.
Dnepr Princess shore excursions
Through a variety of shore excursions, you have the opportunity to get to know the country and its people along the route. The excursion program is adapted to the length of stay of the ship and is accompanied by qualified tour guides. The excursions are usually in German language. The shore excursions can be booked directly on board or partly in advance online at the shipping company. Girocard and VISA/MasterCard are accepted on board.
