DCS Alemannia

Founded in Germany in 1985 the fleet of DCS Touristik now consists of eight river cruise ships. The tour operator specializes in high-quality bus-ship combinations. The program includes group tours, river cruises, event tours, city trips, wellness trips and musical travels. The ships operate mainly on the rivers Main, Rhine and Danube and with some exceptions also Volga and Nile.

The M/S Alemannia was built in 1971, the last renovation of the ship took place in winter 2017. Aboard a sundeck with heated pool and a surrounding promenade deck invites you to relax and sunbathe. A special feature is the covered back deck, where you can stay even on rainy days to enjoy the unique view. A stairlift connects the promenade deck with the upper deck, where the reception, the on-board shop and a reading corner with books, board games and card games are located. With a length of 110 meters, the ship can accommodate up to 184 passengers. The main on-board language is German. Please note that there is no special program for English-speaking guests.

All staterooms aboard the DCS Alemannia are oceanview staterooms. On the Upper Deck the staterooms and suites have a French balcony with full length, openable panoramic windows. Due to safety regulations it is not possible to open the windows at the Main Deck. With a size of 12 sqm for the twin staterooms and 24 sqm for the suites the staterooms offer shower / WC, hairdryer, music channel / radio and satellite TV. The air-conditioning system is controlled centrally. But the intensity of the air supply can be adjusted in the staterooms. In the suites, guests will also find a safe and a minibar. Especially interesting for families are the staterooms with connecting doors to create a family stateroom.

The DCS Alemannia awaits you with a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Changing evening events, sundeck and pool as well as restaurant and bar ensure good entertainment on board. A welcome dinner as well as a gala dinner complete the culinary offer aboard the ship. The public areas are air-conditioned.

Culinary delights await you in the beautiful panoramic restaurants, where all guests can comfortably sit down at one table time. On the day of embarkation you can reserve your table in the restaurant for the duration of the entire cruise. The menu includes german and international specialties all served by the attentive stuff of DCS Touristik.

There are several activities for your entertainment. Crew shows, Games, a pirate dinner or the gala dinner. In the panoramic bar there is entertaining live music. For relaxation there is a large sun deck with seating options as well as a heated swimming pool.

The cruise line offers optional bookable shore excursions, which are adapted to the respective length of stay in the port. City walks or scenic drives invite you to discover all the beautiful places along the river course.
