About Phoenix Reisen
The German tour operator Phoenix Reisen was founded in 1973. In 1988 they started cruising the oceans with the charter of the ship Maxim Gorki. Starting as a pure ocean shipping company, Phoenix Reisen expanded its range in 1993 to include the popular river cruises. The four well-known ocean liners are now joined by more than 30 river ships as well as a few smaller ships for exceptional destinations. The shipping company is still in family hands and attaches great importance to a friendly and pleasant atmosphere aboard their ships.
Calypso
The MS Calypso has been one of the most popular ships in the Phoenix fleet for many years. Due to its size, the ship can also cruise on smaller and less frequented waterways. On board you will experience the warmth of a familiar ship of the good middle class. The Dutch owner and captain and his wife provide a casual holiday atmosphere in which you can take a break from everyday life. At a length of only about 75 m the MS Calypso can accommodate up to 90 passengers on 3 decks.
