About Phoenix Reisen
The German tour operator Phoenix Reisen was founded in 1973. In 1988 they started cruising the oceans with the charter of the ship Maxim Gorki. Starting as a pure ocean shipping company, Phoenix Reisen expanded its range in 1993 to include the popular river cruises. The four well-known ocean liners are now joined by more than 30 river ships as well as a few smaller ships for exceptional destinations. The shipping company is still in family hands and attaches great importance to a friendly and pleasant atmosphere aboard their ships. Language on board of all ships is German.
The MS A-Silver belongs to the riverboats of the latest generation, was built as "Amadeus Silver" in 2013, renamed in 2019 and offers a pleasant, stylish ambience with its light-flooded premises and warm colors. Large staterooms, mostly with lowered panoramic windows allow a great view of the river landscape and invite you to linger and relax.

All staterooms on board are comfortable and luxuriously furnished outisde staterooms with a size of approximately 16 sqm. The suites, equipped with a walk-in balcony, have approx. 24 sqm. The stateooms on the Mozart deck and Strauss deck have lowerable panoramic windows, while the staterooms on the Haydn deck have smaller windows that cannot be opened for safety reasons. All staterooms are equipped with shower/WC, a hairdryer, an individually controlled air conditioning, a TV, a radio, a minibar (in the suites), a safe, as well as a telephone. The beds can be set up as double or single beds.
Atmosphere on board of A-Silver
Like on all Phoenix ships, the atmosphere aboard the MS A-Silver is cosy and casual, with a touch of elegance and luxury. The dress code on board is casual. At the traditional captain's dinner a more elegant wardrobe is expected, but evening wear is not needed. Regional events, live music and light entertainment will make your trip a great holiday at the river. Due to the fact that the tour operator is a German company the onboard language is German and guests pay their bills in Euro.
Look forward to a rich breakfast buffet as well as multi-course lunches and dinners with regional and international specialties. The well-trained kitchen and service team will spoil you with all the amenities the kitchen has to offer. On request, meals can also be prepared gluten-free, lactose-free or diabetic-friendly. Theme nights, afternoon coffee/tea with cakes and/or pastries and a midnight snack complete the culinary offer on board the MS A-Silver. In addition, on many voyages there is the traditional captain's reception and the captain's dinner with a festive menu.
Entertainment, sports & relaxation
On board a selection of books, board and card games is available. Regular on-board events, music programs or lectures are offered, which may vary depending on the route. From the spacious sundeck, with loungers and seatings, you have a beautiful view of the passing river landscape.In the massage room, as well as at the hairdressing salon and in the fitness room, you can persue yourself to your inner and outer well-being.
A-Silver shore excursions
Through a variety of shore excursions, you have the opportunity to get to know the country and it’s people along the route. The excursion program is adapted to the length of stay of the ship and is accompanied by qualified tour guides. The excursions are usually in German language. The shore excursions can be booked directly on board or partly in advance online at the shipping company.Girocard and VISA/MasterCard are accepted on board.
