      • The NCL Dawn cruise from Barcelona to Doha lasted 47 nights. Therefore, it was sold as three separate cruises. The first part included Barcelona to Cape Town.
        According to the marketing from NCL (via Seascanner july 22), 10 ports were to be visited during the cruise. This was also the case. However, NCL removed the ports of Casablanca and Agadir (both Morocco) and of Banjul (Gambia). In its place, the ports of Alicante and Motril (both Spain) and of Tangier (Morocco) were added.
        Alicante and Motril are ports that are not even normally visited on cruises related to the Mediterranean. I've never heard of Motril. That's why I checked my old copies of Lonely Planet (912 pages) and Rough Guide (944 pages) for Spain. I was able to see that none of these leading travel guides even mentioned Motril.
        In summary, NCL delivered only 70 percent of the ports included in the marketing.
        I have not seen any information from NCL about the possibility of cancelling the cruise free of charge and receiving compensation for expenses made for, for example, flights and accommodation that are directly related to the booking of the cruise. Each cabin was only assigned a $100 credit that could only be used during the cruise. The credit was thus useless for those who did not spend any money beyond what they had paid for the cruise including service charge.
