  • We booked a balcony cabin with an obstructed view, thinking it was PARTIALLY obstructed, like at the Opera. Instead, we were met with a totally obstructed view, which was pretty deceiving, considering the fact that we were on our honeymoon: emotions spoiled. Almost every night we felt a terrible smell from the air conditioner, and we had to breathe it.

    A major bad surprise for us was to find out that the vast majority of guests, around 90% (believe me, I'm not exaggerating), were elderly travelers, many using wheelchairs or mobility aids (it could not be just a random situation, Cunard knew and should have informed us, considering our honeymoon).

  • Cunard should have been more transparent about the average age of their passengers, considering that we told them before the cruise that this was our honeymoon! No communication in English, only in German, for all Europe-based guests. We speak 6 different languages but not German!
